Print out your template on A4. Join them up if they are tiled. Shown here is a template with the seam allowance visible. Cut to the outside of your final line and this will allow the glue to get right up to the edge of the template. |
I use large sheets of 400gsm cardboard that I get from work. Old desk calendars and backs of A4 pads are usually pretty good as there are no corrugations to upset your lines. Glue your printouts to your cardboard, paying particular attention to the line that you will be cutting along. |

Cut your ripstop out with a soldering iron as this will ensure you don't get frayed edges. Make sure you do this in a well ventilated area as ripstop gives off fumes. Cardboard templates can deteriorate with use so turn them over occasionally (if they are symetrical) |
